My brother Nathan, is an emergency medicine doctor in his first year at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He was told to evacuate and has been seeking refuge at my house in Baltimore for the past few days. He is heading back to Louisiana on Friday morning to help with the relief effort.
Tomorrow night, please come and have some drinks, meet the celebrity refugee, and help get some money together for Hurricane relief. I'm asking everyone to open up their wallets and their hearts and donate a few bucks to those folks in need. The money will go directly into the supplies Nathan is buying, or it will be donated to the Red Cross.
Please stop by tomorrow evening anytime, 8:00pm-midnight. Drinks, some grillings, and cake provided. Bringing a bottle or some hors d'oeuvres will not be frowned upon.
Also, it was just my birthday so we will take a few minutes to celebrate that too.
Feel free to spread the word about the party. I know I have forgotten a lot of people.
